Baijiu is mainly made from grains such as sorghum, corn, wheat, rice, and peas, through fermentation with mold and distillation. Its alcohol content usually ranges from 38% to 65%, with a rich aroma and complex flavor. It is an important part of Chinese food culture and etiquette culture.

Steelo Lou brings a designer's eye and server's heart to the art of mixology. With over five years of experience across Chicago's diverse hospitality landscape—from the immersive hot pot experiences at Haidila and Qiaolin to crafting signature cocktails at Imperial Lounge and Theme House—Steelo approaches each drink as both a flavor composition and visual statement.

 

Her background in fashion design infuses her mixology style with an artistic sensibility that transforms ordinary ingredients into extraordinary presentations. Drawing inspiration from her time at multiple concept restaurants, Steelo specializes in creating drinks that tell a story through both taste and aesthetic.

 

Currently honing her craft at Komo while continuing to develop signature cocktail concepts, Steelo excels at building genuine connections with guests while guiding them through personalized drinking experiences. Her approach balances technical precision with creative flair, resulting in cocktails that are as visually striking as they are delicious.

 

Whether reimagining classics or developing original creations, Steelo Lou represents the perfect fusion of hospitality expertise and artistic vision—where every drink is an opportunity to display art in a different way.
