Sake, often referred to as the "drink of the gods" in Japan, holds deep cultural and spiritual significance. It's a fermented rice beverage that has been integral to Japanese rituals, ceremonies, and everyday life for centuries. In Shinto, sake is considered a divine offering, used to connect humans with the divine and express gratitude to the gods. It's also a symbol of sharing and unity, used in ceremonies like weddings and festivals.

About Andy Ng
With a journey that began at Aodake Romeoville at age 21, Andy Ng brings a rich tapestry of beverage expertise to Sakura's bar program. His foundation in classic cocktail craft, built at ABC Bartending School, gave him invaluable insights into the historical significance and storytelling behind each drink - knowledge he now weaves into every creation.
Andy's sophisticated palate was refined during his time as a wine sales representative, where extensive tastings and vineyard studies deepened his understanding of flavor profiles and regional characteristics. This expertise was further honed through prestigious tenures at Fogo de Chão and Eddie Merlot's, where he mastered not just fine dining service, but the art of creating personalized guest experiences.
What sets Andy apart is his unique approach to mixology - one that combines technical precision with genuine hospitality. His methodology, developed through years of documenting guest preferences and learning from industry veterans, allows him to craft both classic and innovative cocktails that resonate with each guest's individual taste. This attention to detail and personal touch transforms every drink into a tailored experience.
